The Good Dog Minute 8/13/14: Koda, the skateboard hater turnaround!

Posted on August 13th, by sean in Videos. No Comments

Hey all, anyone who remembers the striking Mr Koda (who looked like a giant wolf!) will recall he was with us for some pretty serious skateboard issues. His reactivity had gotten so bad (just the sight of a skateboard being carried would set him off!), that his owners were having a hard time controlling him and feeling safe when skateboards came on the scene. This clip shows some of Koda’s reactivity to skateboards prior to coming to us, and then shows his owner working through his issues, and finally shows them at home and what things look like a few day in to real life. It also shows the value of corrections in the rehab/training process that often folks are worried will cause negative associations or fallout. Good stuff for people to see and understand. Enjoy.
